Learning How to Cook Day 6

It has been a few days, Sunday we had a frozen pizza before going off to my aunt Suzie's Birthday party. I had Chocolate ice cream for the first time in years.

Monday, was a busy day I took my mother out to Meijers and we were there for three hours. For dinner we had Meijer dell department fried chicken, and a salad which Denice made. I wa wind blowned from pumping gas and my eyes hurt. We purchase Meijer Dell Fried Chicken a lot. We like it better then Kentucky Fried Chicken. To me it is less salty.

So tonight I warmed up the left over Meijer Dell Fried Chicken, made box mash potatoes, with brown gravy, and fresh uncooked green beans. It was my first day in the Kitchen all by myself.

It was also the first time the milk and butter did not go over in the pan while I was trying to cook.

Tomorrow is the final lenten soup supper at church, the 8th grade class at Salem Lutheran church is making sloppy joes, so tomorrow night will be dinner with the fun people at Salem.

Learning How to Cook Day 4

Today is day four of learning how to cook, for lunch I made Grilled Cheese on Italian bread. Using Kraft Cheese singles (2 1/2) , it turned out wonderful, the cheese was pulling away from the sandwich when you would take a bit.

As you may already know I had a special person in the kitchen with me tonight, my sister Denice was the teacher and we made Lasagna. And she did not make fun of me!

Denice sprayed the extra large sauce pan and place the water in it to boil. I sprayed the frying pan with Pam and started to brown the hamburger. Once the noodles cooked for 15 minutes she had me take them out of the pan and cut the ends off (four or five ridges) because they did not fit into the pan. When finished it turned out really good, my mother even eat a second plate, which I have never seen her do.

Lasagna

Spray pan and place water in, once water boils place noodles in (in number of 3, 3 noodles of each layer) 12-15 Noodles. Keep stirring noodles so they do not stick to the pan

Spray frying pan and warm the pan. Place hamburger in the pan and chop with spatula, keep stirring hamburger so it does not stick to the pan .

Pre-heat oven at 375

When noodles and hamburger are done, spray glass baking pan (11*8) and place a layer of meat Flavored Sauce. Take noodles out in numbers of three and grab them out of the pan in the middle of the noodles (ends will break off if you grab them by the ends) trim a few rows off ( 4 or 5 ridges on the noodle) so the fit into the pan.

Place 3 noodles into the pan and put sauce on top of noodles, place some hamburger on top of the sauce and then some cheese. (Sauce and Cheese can be water ever kind you like)

Repeat steps until all the noodles are in the pan. Place into the oven and bake 15-18 minutes.

Place most of the Cheese on the top

When removing the noodles from the pan use tongs and do not drain, water will splash up onto you

Learning How to Cook day 3

Day 3 of learning how to cook. Today I made Hamburgers and Salad. I rolled the hamburger meat into a ball and pressed down on them, then I smoothed out the edges and placed into a warm frying pan, that I had sprayed with Pam cooking oil, then I added pepper to them.

While the hamburgers cooked I made a salad. When the hamburgers were finished I added cheese to mine. They turned out! I finally cooked some meat (-:

My mother said it was a good dinner.

Day 3 a success.
